Qatar - A Land of Business & Opportunities

Getting my first Job in Qatar in fact my first job out of my city and Country, is

absolutely one of the great blessings from my ALLAH Alhamdulillah.

It was 23/01/2023 afternoon around 2:30 PM in India, my phone rang up,

and it was a number starting with +974 of course Qatar country code.

Another side one gentle man was asking me whether I was interested in doing a

job in Qatar? It was like a goose bumps moment for me as my dream was

about to be fulfilled Alhamdulillah. Actually I had created an account on one of

the job portals and the gentleman from Qatar picked my details from that portal.

I instantly said yes and after all visa processing and documentation finally

I landed in Qatar in the holy month of Ramadan on 02/04/2023.

Myself Gulam Mustafa Alansari from India, I have done BCA

(Bachelor of Computer Applications), LLB (Bachelor of Laws), MA

(Master of Arts in Islamic Studies). Before coming to Qatar I was working as

Administrative Assistant cum IT in-charge in one the largest school groups.

But I used to dream about Qatar when I used to hear news of Qatar state

favouring the oppressed people worldwide. And somehow I was in

desperate need to change my current job because I was failing to fulfil some

religious duties for example my school was in remote area and I had to

fabricate new excuses every Friday to join congregational prayers though

they were allowing me to go as per short leaves.

When I used to leave for office in early morning every day I used to ask

Allah to please grant me such an environment which would be beneficial

for this world and beneficial for hereafter life too.

Allah blessed me with a Qatari Job offer Alhamdulillah. This is the country

where I grew exponentially alhamdulillah. It has been saveral months and I

feel like new gate of opportunities have been opened up for me Alhamdulillah.

The freedom expats do get here in Qatar is unmatchable than anywhere else

in the world and the growth chances for the workers from different

nationalities and cultures offered also unbelievable.

Qatar is a new global hub which is most suitable business destination in

every aspect in the world. Over the years, Qatar has experienced

significant development and transformation in various sectors under leadership of

Emir of Qatar HH Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

Here are some key areas of development in Qatar:

1. Infrastructure: Qatar has invested heavily in infrastructure development,

particularly in preparation for hosting the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The country

has been constructing stadiums, roads, hotels, and transportation networks

to accommodate the influx of visitors. The Hamad International Airport,

the new Doha Metro system, and the Lusail City development are

notable infrastructure projects in Qatar.

2. Real Estate: Qatar has witnessed a construction boom, with a focus on

developing its real estate sector. Numerous commercial and residential

buildings, including high-rise towers, have been built in Doha, the capital city.

Projects such as The Pearl-Qatar, Msheireb Downtown Doha, and Lusail City

aim to create modern urban areas with a mix of residential, commercial,

and recreational spaces.

3. Education and Research: Qatar has made significant investments in education

and research, aiming to develop a knowledge-based economy. Several prominent

educational institutions have been established, including Qatar University,

Education City (a campus hosting multiple international universities), and research

centres like Qatar Science and Technology Park. The country also hosts

international conferences and symposiums to promote academic and

research collaboration.

4. Tourism and Hospitality: Qatar has been actively promoting its tourism industry

to diversify its economy. The government has launched initiatives to attract

international tourists, including visa facilitation measures and promoting

Qatar as a destination for business, leisure, culture, and sports events.

The country offers a range of luxury hotels, resorts, and entertainment options,

including museums, cultural sites, and world-class sporting events.

5. Sustainability and Green Initiatives: Qatar has been prioritizing sustainability

and green initiatives to address environmental concerns. The country aims

to reduce its carbon footprint and increase renewable energy sources.

Initiatives include the Qatar National Vision 2030, which focuses on sustainable

development, and the development of the Qatar Green Building Council,

promoting energy-efficient and environmentally friendly construction practices.

6. Economic Diversification: Qatar has been working to diversify its economy away

from reliance on oil and gas. Efforts have been made to develop industries
